In the style of the Saturday Night Live skit, but providing factual statistical comparison here’s a look at the St Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks pounding work horses before this Sunday’s matchup of the NFC West rivals. Steven Jackson played high school in the Las Vegas area and is often credited with putting Las Vegas high school football on the radar of college recruiters. Recruited and signed with Oregon State where he led the Pac 10 in rushing as a sophomore and still ranks 2nd in school history in all-purpose yards and third on the Beaver’s all time scoring list despite leaving for the NFL after his junior year. Jackson was drafted 24th in the 2004 NFL draft by The St. Louis Rams, and has never left or been anything other than a cornerstone of the team. Listed at 6’2” and 240 lbs, Jackson spent his rookie season behind Superbowl Champ and Hall of Famer Marshall Faulk.
