Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was not at practice Friday, one day after he was arrested for allegedly firing a gun during a fight with a man in Alabama.

Raiders coach Hue Jackson said he planned to have a face-to-face meeting with McClain. It's unclear if McClain will play in Sunday's game at Miami.

"There’s a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things, and obviously there was something done wrong,’’ Jackson said following practice Friday. “So we’ll go and deal with that accordingly from there.’’

McClain was charged with misdemeanor assault, menacing, reckless endangerment and firing a gun inside city limits. He was detained on $2,000 bond.

According to police, the 22-year-old McClain held a gun to the man's head during the altercation. After he begged him not to shoot him, McClain fired a round past the man’s ear. No one was shot and the man that was injured went to a local hospital for evaluation.

McClain was in Alabama for his grandfather's funeral, according to Jackson.

McClain had reported earlier this year someone shooting at his car in Decatur, Ala. It is not known if the incidents are related.

McClain was the 2009 Butkus Award winner while starring at Alabama.
