Heyward-Bey (neck) was limited in practice and is questionable for Sundays game, but Hue Jackson said he was encouraged by his progress Friday. He did quite a bit," Jackson said. "I was really pleased with his practice today. He did some things, made some plays and caught some balls. K Sebastian Janikowksi is off the official injury list and appears to have gotten over a lingering injury to his left hamstring, on his kicking leg. I am ready, feeling good, Janikowski said Friday. It has gotten better every week. I can still feel it a little bit when Im stretching, but I dont think it will affect my kicking anymore.

SEBASTIAN JANIKOWSKI:
Sebastian Janikowski – who has been hampered with a hamstring injury – seems to be coming around, according to Oakland Raiders head coach Hue Jackson.
Report from CSN Bay Area:
Placekicker Sebastian Janikowski not appearing on the injury report is a good sign for the Raiders as well, considering his left hamstring has been an issue for more than a month...
Hue Jackson Blasts the NFL for Referee Incompetence
Penalties are nothing new to the Oakland Raiders franchise but first year head coach Hue Jackson has had enough. The Raiders were flagged 117 yards last week against the Minnesota Vikings and most of the calls were absurd and questionable.
Tommy Kelly was the victim of one of these erroneous calls on a beautiful play in which he anticipated a move by Viking quarterback Cristian...
Darren McFadden Could Miss More Than Week 12
A nagging foot injury could keep Darren McFadden out “a few more games.”
Source: NFL.com
Fantasy Advice: At this point, McFadden owners could be without him for their playoff run with playoffs starting in Week 13 for many leagues. With the Raiders winning and Michael Bush playing at a high rate, there is no real reason why the Raiders have to rush McFadden back so soon.
Raiders' WR Heyward-Bey practices without pain
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -- Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey practiced without pain five days after injuring his neck and spine and suffering a concussion while being tackled by Minnesota linebacker E.J. Henderson.
Raiders RB Darren McFadden Unlikely To Play Vs Bears
Darren McFadden is not expected to play for the Oakland Raiders when they face the Chicago Bears on Sunday. McFadden, who suffered a foot injury on Oct 23 against Kansas City, has not played since then and might need another week or so before he can return, according to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network. That means another start for Michael Bush at running back for the Raiders,...
Raiders Limping into Sunday's Game
Raiders head coach Hue Jackson likes to say it’s “next man up” whenever a player goes down to injury.
But what if the next man is injured, too?
As Oakland (6-4) gets ready to play the Chicago Bears (7-3) Sunday at O.co Coliseum, the Raiders’ receiving corps, in particular, has become a tiny group.
On Wednesday, it consisted of Louis Murphy, Chaz Schillens...
Raiders P Shane Lechler Unlikely To Challenge Bears KR Devin Hester
In a bit of gamesmanship, Lovie Smith, who has the luxury that is Devin Hester, recently extolled the virtues of kicking to punt returners. Smith's efforts to goad Oakland into kicking to the NFL-record holder in punt-return touchdowns (12) might work -- if it were up to the Raiders on the punt-coverage team. But punter Shane Lechler has a little bigger say, being the one who...
Four Downs: Keys to beating the Raiders (11/27/11)
Carson Palmer is not a mobile quarterback, so the interior of the Bears defensive line needs to make him uncomfortable in the pocket.
A look at four keys for the Bears to beat the Oakland Raiders.
1. Stop the run
The Raiders have become a more rounded team since acquiring quarterback Carson Palmer mid-season, but their offense still goes as its running game does. Oakland has the...
Raiders May Play Keep Away From Hester
It’s not often that Shane Lechler takes center stage in pregame conversations.
But with Oakland playing host to the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Lechler is certainly a key factor in how the Raiders deal with Devin Hester, the NFL’s best kick returner.
Do the Raiders punt and kick the ball to Hester and dare him to beat them? Or do they try to keep the ball away from him?...
