Wide receiver Chris Givens and cornerback Janoris Jenkins were out of coach Jeff Fisher’s doghouse and back on the practice field Wednesday at Rams Park. “They’ve rejoined the program and the issues are behind them, been addressed, and they’re back on the practice field,” Fisher said. But he didn’t commit to saying the two would return to the starting lineup this week against the New York Jets. “They’ll play,” Fisher said. Givens and Jenkins were benched Sunday in San Francisco for violating team rules. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch Attached Thumbnails

Coach Jeff Fisher said after practice Wednesday that both would play Sunday against the New York Jets, but didn't say whether they'd be starting. They were suspended for violating undisclosed team rules, and neither player...

Report: Rams, Danny Amendola’s reps aren’t working on an extension

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola has admitted that he wouldn’t mind being franchised at the end of this season, opposed to getting a long-term contract. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Rams and Amendola’s reps haven’t been working on a contract extension. Both sides should have time once the season is over to working on getting something done. ...

Rams WR Danny Amendola Worthy Of The Franchise Tag?

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio writes that Rams WR Danny Amendola is “performing at a level that will compel the Rams to apply the franchise tag” on him during the offseason. Last year, St Louis placed a second-round tender on Amendola and was able to retain him for a very reasonable salary of $1.972 million. He’s clearly out performed that deal and is deserving a long...

Bad taste left by tie will stay with Rams

ST. LOUIS Smacking lips with your sister can sting for a few moments. Meanwhile, tying in the NFL can leave a foul taste for 38 years. Meet Otis Armstrong. He was a Denver Broncos running back from 1973 to 80. On Sept. 22, 1974, he was part of the NFLs first regular-season overtime tie when Denver and the Pittsburgh Steelers slugged each other before leaving Mile High Stadium even...

Wayne Hunter not surprised about the Jets’ drama

Former New York Jets and current St. Louis Rams tackle Wayne Hunter isn’t surprised at all at the drama that’s followed his former team. The one thing that always bothered him was how his teammates would throw one another under the bus, the way they did with calling Tim Tebow a terrible quarterback. “I got sick of guys doing that,” Hunter said. “I spoke about that. That...

Brandon Marshall did his best Ryan Franklin impression today

This offseason, it was strongly rumored that the Rams were set to acquire WR Brandon Marshall.  In retrospect, it would have been wise; Marshall is on pace to have the best year of his career and a deep threat paired with Danny Amendola would make any man smile.  Especially Sam Bradford.  And let’s be honest, [...]

Rams' Schottenheimer set to face former team

(Eds: Adds AP Photo.) Brian Schottenheimer is trying to treat the St. Louis Rams' game against his former team, the New York Jets, this weekend as just another game. ''I want to win because it's the next game and we need to get to four wins,'' the Rams' offensive coordinator said. ''It's fun to compete against your friends, but (the games...

St. Louis Rams: Week 11 NFL Power Rankings (#20)

Last week: 20 (+1) Record: 3-5-1 On a bye…oh wait…the Rams played last week? But their record didn’t change, so they couldn’t have played right? It wouldn’t be worth busting your ass for 75 minutes if your record didn’t change afterwards right? **** ties. Studs QB Sam Bradford: 26 of 39 for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns, 3 throw aways, 3 batted passes, 2 spikes, 1 hit as...

Should there be tie games in professional sports? (Video)

Inspired by the St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers playing to a 24-24 tie game during Week 10 of the NFL Season, Chad M and Emily Nerland debate whether ties should exist in professional sports.

New York Jets at St. Louis Rams: Week 11 NFL Pick

New York Jets (3-6) at St. Louis Rams (3-5) Someone check me for a concussion because I really like the Jets this week. The Jets are one of two teams I have not picked to cover once this year, along with the Bengals. Yes, their fans hate me. It may seem weird that this is the week I’m going with the Jets because they seem to be at their lowest point, given all that’s happened...
