Rams GM Les Snead was on NFL AM, the NFL Network's morning show, on Wednesday sending out positive assurances about his quarterback's grasp of the system.

"I think the more times we get on stage, and that'll occur tomorrow night against the Ravens in St. Louis, the more time he gets out there, plays and gets timing down with his receivers, he'll continue to develop in this offense."

Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and the coaches have designed a system to ease Bradford back into the swing of things. It was something Greg Cosell talked about last week on the Yahoo Sports Shutdown Corner podcast. Quick passes, short passes, three-step drops and a run-first approach will ideally help with pass protection and get Bradford back on his groove this season.

Last week's game against the Cowboys frightened more than a few fans, after Bradford pitched nearly perfect outing the week before against the hapless Chiefs.

Steven Jackson: How the Rams RB stacks up to past NFL greats

Many NFL fans will probably never remember the ongoing eight year stellar career of St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson, but Rams fans certainly will. Steven Jackson should join an elite list of running backs whose careers were underrated because they played for mediocre teams.

Rams still pondering final roster cuts

ST. LOUIS It figures to be a nervous couple of days around Rams Park this week. After 15 players were trimmed from the roster by Monday's deadline, the Rams still have to make 22 additional cuts by Friday at 3 p.m. to reach the regular season limit of 53 players. And with their final preseason game set for Thursday night at 6 p.m. against the Baltimore Ravens, the next few...

Rams 31, Ravens 17

Sam Bradford gave the St. Louis Rams a positive experience to end the preseason. Bradford threw three touchdown passes in 11/2 quarters giving the St. Louis Rams a 31-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Rams coach Jeff Fisher, taking over a franchise that has totaled 15 wins in the past five seasons, used virtually all of his starters until the score was 21-0 on...

Sam Bradford's 3 TD's Leads Rams To 31-17 Win Vs Ravens

Sam Bradford tossed a trio of touchdown passes and the St. Louis Rams beat the Baltimore Ravens, 31-17, as both teams closed out their preseason schedules Thursday at Edward Jones Dome. Bradford went 11-of-16 for 175 yards while playing the majority of the first half in the Rams' final tune up before they begin their regular season on Sunday, Sept. 9 in Detroit against the...

Rams C Scott Wells back after busy offseason

(Updates.) Scott Wells has had a busy offseason. After signing a four-year, $24 million contract with the St. Louis Rams, the former Green Bay Packers center had knee surgery that kept him from most of the team's activities. While rehabbing, Wells and his wife recently completed the adoption of three orphans from Uganda, a process that took nearly 18 months. As they prepare...

Rams 1st-rounder Brockers injured

St. Louis Rams rookie defensive tackle Michael Brockers injured his right ankle near the end of the first quarter of the preseason finale. Brockers, the team's first-round draft pick, was injured when he got tangled up with the Ravens' Jah Reid with 4 seconds to go in the quarter Thursday night. He was helped off the field by two trainers but was able to put weight on the...

KSK 2012 NFL Prekkake: St. Louis Rams

The 2011 Rams were depressing in the way an abandoned strip mall is depressing. Not really hurting anybody, but not serving much of a function, either. No one questions that it’s sad to look at, but no one really cares enough to try to improve it. Meanwhile. are enough other options out there that locals can avoid it without much thought. Furthermore, both A.J. Feeley and Kellen...

Fisher realistic about rebuilding task

After a year away, Jeff Fisher returned to the NFL refreshed, renewed and best of all, patient. Rebuilding the St. Louis Rams might take time. Fisher inherits a handful of key veterans from a 2-14 season that got coach Steve Spagnuolo and general manager Billy Devaney fired. Surrounding quarterback Sam Bradford, middle linebacker James Laurinaitis, defensive end Chris Long and select...

Ravens fall behind Rams early

The Ravens have fallen behind the St. Louis Rams in their final (hooray!) preseason game in the first quarter. Sam Bradford led the Rams on a drive from under the shadow of his own field goal posts. The drive was aided by a long pass play in which Jimmy Smith fell down in coverage. On the next Ravens’ offensive possession Tyrod Taylor lost a fumble. The Ravens are down 14-0 in the first quarter.

St. Louis Rams Have Highs and Lows, Fall to Dallas Cowboys 20-19

The roller coaster that is the St. Louis Rams’ preseason continued Saturday night, hitting another dip after losing 20-19 to the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium. Although the game was close on the scoreboard, the Cowboys were firmly in control throughout, despite starters Demarcus Ware, Miles Austin, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant all missing the game. The Rams again flashed their...

5 reasons the Rams should desperately seek Terrell Owens

The Saint Louis Rams are once again ready to begin the regular season with a receiving core that looks like the extra’s names at the end of the movie. With the exception of Steve Smith, the Rams receiving core is literally unknown, and for good reason. Terrell Owens can catch the ball, is in great shape and the Rams could use the publicity.

The Gameday Gambit

Try! I’m known for trying to do almost anything when it comes to the St. Louis Rams. In doing so, I’ve learned a great deal. For instance, Photoshop doesn’t really capture the majesty of a Rams game ticket, or at least that’s what the guys at the stadium entrance have told me on more than one occasion… Call it Kismet or Karma, I’m left with tailgating in the parking...

Rams vs Ravens: St. Louis rides the wave at home

Like a surfer on a tasty wave, the St. Louis Rams continued to win at home in the Edward Jones Dome with a convincing victory against the Baltimore Ravens.  Like their beat down of the Kansas City Chiefs the last time they played at home, the Offense, defense, and special teams gave the Rams a [...]
