The search is over for the St. Louis Rams. After flirting with Rob Ryan and almost bringing him in for the job, Adam Schefter is reporting that they've finally made their decision on a defensive coordinator. Rams plan to hire Lions DB coach Tim Walton as their defensive coordinator. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 13, 2013 Walton was defensive backs coach for the Lions last year and has been with the team since head coach Jim Schwartz has been there (4 years). Before that, he was at the college level. Not a big name or a big resume, so there will be some head scratching in St. Louis before Walton has a chance to show what he can do.

  • First the author says the Rams hired Walton. Then down a sentence or two he says the Rams PLAN to hire Walton. I never went to Journalism school, but could do better than that confusing bit. So which is it?
