The search is over for the St. Louis Rams. After flirting with Rob Ryan and almost bringing him in for the job, Adam Schefter is reporting that they've finally made their decision on a defensive coordinator.
Rams plan to hire Lions DB coach Tim Walton as their defensive coordinator.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) February 13, 2013
Walton was defensive backs coach for the Lions last year and has been with the team since head coach Jim Schwartz has been there (4 years). Before that, he was at the college level. Not a big name or a big resume, so there will be some head scratching in St. Louis before Walton has a chance to show what he can do.

After a hot start, Amendola came back down to earth and ended his season with a thud. In the final three weeks, Amendola caught just 12 of 25 passes thrown his direction.

The NFL counts a few gingers among its ranks, but only just enough that people still make a big deal when they spot one on the field. That may also be because gingers freak people out.
