The greatest wide receiver in NFL history did wear a 49ers uniform, but he won’t be sporting one out on the field at the Superdome on Sunday. Randy Moss will be lining up on the outside for the Niners in Super Bowl XLVII, but no matter what he says he’s not the greatest wide receiver to ever step on a football field. He’s not even the greatest to ever wear a 49ers jersey. So, Moss must have been suffering from some delusions when he proclaimed that he was “the greatest of all time,” during Tuesday’s Super Bowl Media Day festivities. “I don’t think numbers stand. I think this year has been a down year for me statistically,” Moss said. “I don’t really live on numbers, I live on impact and what you’re able to do out on the field.” Let’s not get it twisted, Moss is one of the greatest receivers ever to grace an NFL field, but the title of GOAT — Greatest of All Time — still belongs to Jerry Rice. Sure, Moss is may be the best athlete ever to play the wide receiver position and some

Randy Moss Back In New England Next Year?

According to Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, tosses out a hypothetical idea that would involve Randy Moss returning to the New England Patriots next season. Reiss writes that “one could make the case that Moss’ vertical presence would be a better fit with the Patriots next season.“ Reiss made the case earlier for the Patriots revamping their receiving corp this offseason, so it’s...

Who are we Kidding: Randy Moss isn't the Greatest

I’m not surprised or even shocked that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss would come out on Super Bowl media week and say that he’s the best receiver of all-time. We all know Moss has pulled his share of antics through his career and this is just another one under his belt. I think it might just be that he knows that his career is almost over and he hasn’t lived up...

Randy Moss reportedly expects to play one more season

According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com via Evan Silva, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss is expected to play one more season. “I’m told that Moss expects to play at least one more season,” said Florio. 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has already said that he wants Moss to come back next season, but let’s be honest, Moss didn’t make much of an impact this...

Rice 'very surprised' by Moss' claim

Jerry Rice says he's "surprised" at Randy Moss' claim to be the greatest receiver ever, and that he himself has been "very productive." But Rice won't come out and say that he's the best. Moss turned some heads Tuesday when he called himself the best wide receiver in NFL history. Rice, however, was diplomatic -- sort of -- when people instantly...

NFL Rumors: Randy Moss to return to the New England Patriots?

San Francisco 49ers WR Randy Moss is believed to be wanting to play one more season in the NFL. He is scheduled to become a free agent after this season and his future with the Niners is in doubt. He was not the impact player that the Niners were hoping for this season, although he was not a distraction on or off the field for San Francisco this season. Could a reunion with the New...

Moss back in his element in Super spotlight

Randy Moss took to the podium on Super Bowl media day – his 49ers hat tilted slightly to the left, his sleeves rolled up high to reveal a cross tattooed on one arm, a large ''R'' tattooed on the other. Not exactly humbled by his supporting role with the Niners, Moss let it rip in one of his rare moments this season as the center of attention, carrying himself very...

Moss vs. Rice? Crabtree casts his vote

NEW ORLEANS -- Randy Moss is making Super Bowl Week news by proclaiming himself "the greatest receiver to ever do it.'' Jerry Rice is responding by saying, "Put my numbers against his numbers.'' An expert witness to settle the debate? How about a guy who plays for the same San Francisco 49ers team that Moss now plays for, the same 49ers team that Rice once...

Jerry Rice Says He’s Surprised Randy Moss Used The Word Greatest

Randy Moss sent subtle shock waves through the NFL when he claimed that he is the greatest receiver in NFL history.  Well the one that many believe is in fact the G.O.A.T., Jerry Rice, has responded to Moss’ claim.  “I’m very surprised Randy Moss used that in those words, that he’s the greatest,” Rice said on ESPN’s “NFL Live.” “You’d never hear me say I’m...

Rejected Pornhub Super Bowl 2013 Commercial

Here is one take on the commercial: “Note that the 2 old folks are sitting, staring at a frozen lake. Frozen water symbolizes that the wife is frigid – ie. incapable of getting wet for sex. This is a common menopause problem. She looks lovingly at the husband, half saying I love you, half apologizing for her inability to get wet. The husband smiles, he uses PornHub. He jerks...

The Ray Lewis Story: Reversal of Smoke and Mirrors and Snake Oil

What is the best way to change your image? What is the best way to get the public to forget what a steaming turd you were? The best way, as Elizabeth Taylor once said, is success. In football, it's the same way. Example: Randy Moss, the self-proclaimed greatest receiver in NFL history. In his career, Mr. Moss has been a rookie, a rock star, a child, a record-breaker, a belligerent...

If You Have To Say It, That Says It All

Work The Rubes, Boys Two brief points about today's Super Bowl Media Day layups... 1) Ray Lewis denies PED use I was never really a Michael Jordan fan. I knew I was watching the best player of his generation and one of the best of all time, and I rooted for him when he played teams that I hated more than his Bulls... but in terms of rooting for him, there was always a meanness...
