Kendrick Lamar was just voted as 2013′s top rapper by MTV. The Compton native is having a great year following up the release of his debut album, “Good Kid, MAAD City.” Monday as part of EA Sports’ Madden 25 Cover special, ESPN’s SportsNation invited Kendrick Lamar and San Francisco 49′ers QB Colin Kaepernick to the show. Kendrick performed two of my favorites from his album, “Poetic Justice” & “B**ch Girl Don’t Kill My Vibe.”
Kendrick’s album also features a song with a verse dedicated to Orlando Magic guard Arron Affalo. The two are from the same area.
