NFL Injury Report:
The Baltimore Ravens did a bird’s cage full of things wrong
last night against the Denver Broncos, missed coach's challenge, stupid unsportsmanlike
conduct penalties and costly dropped passes (one even for a sure touchdown). The one thing the Ravens could not control
were injures to two, key offensive players, Jacoby Jones and Michael Oher.
Last night, Pro Bowl kick returner/wide receiver, Jacoby
Jones, left in the second quarter with an apparent sprained knee. He did not return.
Later in the second quarter, right offensive tackle, Michael
Oher, left with an apparent sprained ankle.
He did not return.
Oher’s replacement, rookie, Rick Wagner, looked like Jack
Wagner out there, getting his lunch money stolen by Broncos linebacker, Shaun
Jones got hurt on a punt return when rookie safety, Brynden
Trawick, inexplicably blindsided Jones who was signaling for a fair catch.
Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that Jones will undergo a magnetic
resonance imaging test Friday and that Oher’s injury seemed less serious as he
left the game sans crutches or walking boot.

Ooh, that’s a shame. It makes you wonder, in this day and age and how digital photography provides the instant ability to view pictures and whatnot, if Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones and the NBC crew charged with taking the pics were well aware that he looked absolutely ridiculous in his head shot photo […]The post Ravens WR Jacoby Jones has awful photo for NBC NFL...
Doug Pensinger/Getty Images Already thin at targets for Joe Flacco, the Baltimore Ravens will be without wide receiver Jacoby Jones for 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprain. Baltimore Ravens return specialist Jacoby Jones was set to return a punt in his own territory in the early stages of the second quarter. Jones calls for a fair catch and is only watching the ball to catch it and his teammate ran him over and the ball rolled right by him. Brynden Trawick playing in his first game was blocking for Jones and ran smack into him. Jones left the field...
A Baltimore Ravens special-teamer plowed into return man Jacoby Jones on a punt. Looks like they're still working out the kinks in Week 1 against Denver.
The Ravens’ Jacoby Jones was taken out by his own teammate during the first half of Thursday Night’s season opener vs. the Broncos. While camped under a punt, Jones was run into by rookie teammate, Bryden Tarwick and had to […]
Pro Football Talk reports that the Ravens WR Jacoby Jones is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprained that he suffered during Thursday night’s opening loss to the Broncos.
Jones was in the process of calling for a fair catch when rookie free agent S Brynden Trawick unknowingly ran right into him. Jones was able to limp off the field, but was clearly in pain.
Couldn't the NFL and NBC have gotten together and had Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones take a new team photo? This one's just awkward.
The NFL season is here--all be it a little delayed by some weather. No more preseason; the real deal is here! With the best players on the field going at it fans knew it was only a matter of time before the first serious whack would be put on someone.
They didn't have to wait long, but they didn't expect that it would involve two guys on the same team, Jacoby Jones and...
For the first half of last night’s Broncos-Ravens game, things weren’t going too bad for Baltimore. They started the second quarter with a 7-0 lead, and were set to get the ball back after a defensive stop. Then undrafted rookie Brynden Trawick went and leveled dangerous punt returner Jacoby Jones on the ensuing kick, despite the fact that the two are on the same team. Jones...
The Baltimore Ravens suffered a few key injuries in their season opening loss to the Denver Broncos Thursday night as both wide receiver Jacoby Jones and tackle Michael Oher left the game in the first half and did not return. On Friday, The Baltimore Sun reports that Jones will undergo an MRI on his knee that was injured when he was run into by rookie safety Brynden Trawick while...
Baltimore receiver/return specialist Jacoby Jones' MRI on Friday showed a sprained MCL which will keep in off the fied for 4-6 weeks, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.Fantasy Spin:His absence showed how thin the Ravens are at wide receiver. The team was left with Torrey Smith, 37-year-old Brandon Stokley and rookie Marlon Brown. The Ravens may have to search for outside help.
Despite getting blown out by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens suffered a lot more than a 47-29 loss. Ravens’ star player and Super Bowl XLVII “hero” Jacoby Jones suffered an apparent MCL sprain after accidentally colliding with teammate Brynden Trawick while trying to catch a punt early in the second quarter.

Brynden Trawick‘s NFL debut went about as poorly as possible.
The undrafted rookie defensive back was lining up a block on a punt return during the Ravens’ season opener Thursday night, but he instead ended up laying out Jacoby Jones — his own teammate.
Jones, who burst onto the scene during last year’s Super Bowl win and has since become one of Joe Flacco‘s top receiving...
