During the Baltimore Ravens 31-29 thrilling victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Ravens CB Lardarious Webb collided knees with Cowboys WR Dez Bryant, and the outcome was the worst news Webb and the Ravens could have gotten. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on ESPN.COM that a league source informed him that Webb had suffered a Torn ACL in the right knee as a result of the collision with Bryant. It is a disappointing outcome for Webb who has been playing well all season and had already compiled an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery thus far this season. Webb's absence will result in Jimmy Smith being on the field all the time now, as Smith was the Ravens number three corner. Safety Bernard Pollard stated on ESPN.COM "That's what happens in this game. You hate to see a guy like that go down because he's worked his tail off. Our prayers are with him to get a speedy recovery, but the next man has to step up." Unfortunately, Webb's ACL was not the only injury suffered by the defense yesterday, as Ray Lewis missed the latter part of the game with a Triceps injury and Haloti Ngata was in and out of the game with a sprained MCL. Both players are set to have MRI's today and we will update you as soon as we here the diagnosis.   Be sure to check out other great articles at Sports Media 101.
