NFL Trade Rumors:
Pro Football Talk reports that they’re ”getting the sense” the Ravens aren’t interested in re-signing free agent S Ed Reed.
Baltimore appears to be prepared to overhaul their entire defense this offseason. Obviously, losing ILB Dannell Ellerbe wasn’t a part of their plan, but they’ve allowed OLB Paul Kruger to walk and have since released S Bernard Pollard.
It’s worth noting that the safety is very deep right now and draft experts see this year’s group of safety prospects as one of the best classes in the last few years.
There were rumors that the 49ers could have interest in Reed and the Colts have Patriots have also been tossed out as speculative landing spots.
We have him listed as the No. 36 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.

Reed would be a nice fit for the 49ers, since it looks like they’re going to lose Dashon Goldson in free agency.

Complaining is easy. Pointing out problems is even easier. Texans management is paid to do neither. They are tasked with finding solutions for current problems, and avoiding future issues. In that context, let’s look at their decision to let Glover Quin walk, and make a run at Edward Earl Reed, Jr.
