Found October 25, 2013 on Pro Sports Daily:
Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta is eligible to come off the injured reserve with a designation to return list next week, although that never was a realistic expectation for his return from a dislocated right hip. However, coach John Harbaugh said that the team remains optimistic that Pitta, who was hurt during the first padded practice of training camp on July 27, will return later this season. “Nothing has changed as far as I know,” Harbaugh said. “Everything is on schedule. There have been no setbacks with Dennis, so we’ll just have to see how it goes. Until we get him on the field and see him start running around, I think we’ll know more then. I’m looking forward to that. That will be very interesting.” Pitta, 28, has been rehabilitating the injury at the team facility and has made occasional appearances at practices to catch balls from the JUGS machine and to watch his teammates.

Baltimore Ravens: Pitta to return sooner than expected?

There were early indications that Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta would return to the team’s active roster late in the regular. As November approaches, it is becoming a more realistic scenario. Dennis Pitta (Eric Hartline/Presswire) Pitta, a fourth year veteran with the Ravens, suffered from a dislocated hip early in training camp after colliding with a teammate in the...

Ravens employee loses her Super Bowl ring in Chesapeake Bay

Tweet Interested in a treasure hunt for a 2013 Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl ring? Well, if you have some scuba gear and would like to go diving for it, you might find one at the bottom on the Chesapeake Bay. Per the team’s website, a Ravens receptionist lost hers (yep, they apparently give Super Bowl rings to full-time team employees, not...

Baltimore Ravens need Flacco to step up

Joe Flacco (Jim McIsaac/Getty Images) The Baltimore Ravens have looked toward quarterback Joe Flacco to lead the offense this season. The reigning Super Bowl MVP has had to step up in a big way to help the struggling Ravens offense. With a run game that seems to be  falling apart, an offensive line that can’t find a groove, and inconsistencies from receivers, Flacco has become...

Baltimore Ravens: Perfect timing for a bye week

The Baltimore Ravens (3-4) have a much needed break before tackling the second half of the NFL season. Following their Week 8 bye, the Ravens are set to take on division rivals in back-to-back weeks, facing the Cleveland Browns (3-4) on the road in Week 9 before heading back to Baltimore to play the Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) in Week 10. With a break in the schedule, the Ravens need...

Ravens secretary loses her Super Bowl ring in the Chesapeake Bay

According to Black Sports Online,  a Baltimore Ravens secretary lost her Super Bowl ring while on a boat in the Chesapeake Bay. On Aug. 3, Ravens Receptionist Toni Lekas and her boyfriend, Chuck Lykes, were at a boat party on the river. Toni brought her ring because when you’ve got one, the ring is actually the intended invite and surely the guest of honor. Toni went to leave...

Ravens’ Dennis Pitta hopes to return in late November

At the start of the season, Baltimore Ravens tight end, Dennis Pitta, who suffered a hip injury in the preseason, was placed on the injured reserve list designated for return.  As Josh Alper of NBCSports tells us, the Ravens hope his return is just on the Maryland horizon. Current rules dictate that if a player is injured and put on injured reserve after Sept. 4, that player may...

What The Ravens Need For A Successful Bye Week

Can they be consistent enough to go on a long win streak? Despite the nightmare that this season has been so far, I think so. Four of the next six games are at home. The other two are on the road against teams who are using backup quarterbacks (Cleveland on Nov. 3rd, Chicago on Nov. 17th). So despite recent negativity and a thin margin for error, this team still controls it's...

Just in case Ray Rice's hip acts up again...

Ray Rice says he's back all the way. "I've got my burst back," to quote him exactly from an interview with Stan White. But in case of a relapse in his sore hip and leg, and probably just as much in case his backup Bernard Pierce's sore leg takes even longer to heal, the Ravens are working out some running back free agents during their Bye Week. The team...

Jason Takes Baltimore – The Good

By Matthew Marczi As has pretty much always been the case with Jason Worilds, the fourth-year outside linebacker sprinkled in both some good and some bad during his fill-in starting performance for Jarvis Jones against the Baltimore Ravens. At times, he displayed veteran awareness of his surroundings, and at others, he looked confused. For the sake of order, it is probably easiest...

Ravens with the most to prove after the bye

Marlon BrownLet’s be serious. Marlon Brown shouldn’t be a number two receiver in the league. Brown may develop into a great player some day but at this point, he is just another guy.Brown has something to prove because opposing teams have started to slow down Torrey Smith. The rookie out of Georgia has exceeded expectations thus far but has no business being a number two receiver...
