49ers fans will wonder, how did Ray Lewis get this far using banned substances? Furthermore, if he plays in the Super Bowl, is fair that everyone knows now but still wants him to have that dream exit? There’s the question at hand as a Sports Illustrated report has uncovered that Lewis may have been using banned substances in order to make it back in time for the playoffs. How does a 37 year old with a beat up body, torn triceps, and severe loss of speed make up for it? Like anyone else, use banned substances like Ray Lewis is now being accused of doing. According to a report from Sports Illustrated via, Lewis contacted a company called Sports with Alternatives to Steroids (S.W.A.T.S.) after tearing his triceps in October. The report says that  “S.W.A.T.S. owner Mitch Ross recorded a phone conversation with Lewis after the linebacker's injury in October.” Here is an excerpt of the conversation, as told to by David Epstein and George Dohrmann of Sports Illustrated: Ross prescribed a deluxe program, including holographic stickers on the right elbow; copious quantities of the powder additive; sleeping in front of a beam-ray light programmed with frequencies for tissue regeneration and pain relief; drinking negatively charged water; a 10-per-day regimen of the deer-antler pills that will "rebuild your brain via your small intestines" (which Lewis said he hadn't been taking, then swallowed four during the conversation); and spritzes of deer-antler velvet extract (the Ultimate Spray) every two hours. "Spray on my elbow every two hours?" Lewis asked. "No," Ross said, "under your tongue." Lewis asked Ross to "just pile me up and just send me everything you got, because I got to get back on this week." The deer-antler spray contains IGF-1, which is on the NFL's list of banned substances.   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
