I had this killer turkey burger at the bar down the street from me today. It was so good. Broadway Stop in Queens. Nice, quiet sports bar with a bunch of TVs. Not too loud. Good times. Yeah, that was about the highlight of this day for me. The Bills are terrible.

I seriously could just take my recap posts from the Cowboys, Jets, and Chargers games and just switch the names of the players. It's the same thing. Bills defense allows over 400 yards in total offense... again. Ryan Fitzpatrick's confidence is shot.... again. Chan Gailey doesn't want to run the football... again. It has become a constant joke. Bitter pill after bitter pill to swallow. Chan Gailey is 9-21 as a Bills coach now. He has two 7-game losing streaks on his resume so far. I don't even think Kay Stephenson has that on his resume. Fitzpatick has lost seven straight games. Trent Edwards and JP Losman never lost that many in a row.

Yes, who doesn't love Bills futility stats?

Don't let the stats or final score fool you. The Bills were lucky to lose by 7 points. The Dolphins pretty much fell asleep in the 4th quarter and were already at the airport dreaming of coconuts and Miami Beach. The Bills are masters at getting garbage time points and yards. I guess it will look great at the end of the year when Fitzpatrick surpasses Kelly's best passing season. Yeah, I'll punch anyone in the face that mentions that. Anyway, the whole season has become a cesspool of hot garbage. I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to do two more recaps for this team.

No wonder people like Sal Maiorana and Sully are so bitter toward this team. When you have to write constantly about games like this, I'd want to vomit all over my keyboard and then change careers. Does anyone feel good about the future of this team? Maybe the 2011 draft class will turn the corner, but the constant shortcomings from the bigger pieces of the puzzle are just casting a huge shadow over this franchise. Does it really matter if they cut Fitzpatrick in the offseason? I'm just so defeated right now because there's nothing to really build from with this team it seems like. I just wish this season would end so I can just walk away for like three months and not think about the Bills. Maybe I'll just get incredibly wasted like 20-30 times in hoping I'll forget this craptastic season.

---Ryan Fitzpatrick has lost all of his confidence. Yes, he's a fighter and will give you his all, but he's just not right. I don't know if I wanna just throw him off the ledge like 90% of the fan base seems to want to do, but I will admit there is a problem surfacing here. I just think he's like a pitcher who can't even get it over the plate because he doesn't believe he can. He's overthinking. I don't even think it's physical issues. He was never going to be the type of QB to burn you deep, but the old Fitzpatrick would complete a deep throw once every four passes. At least he did last year and the start of this year. Now he can't do anything right. He's defeated. He had Stevie Johnson wide open by at least 5 yards on a 50-yard bomb for a touchdown and he missed him by 7 yards. Then, on the next play, he threw into triple coverage for an interception. I don't think it was by accident that that two play sequence happened. The INT seemed like a "I fu#$en suck! Let me just try and bury this throw between three defenders and break a defender's finger." This isn't about injuries on offense anymore, this is about Fitzpatrick losing his confidence. I just can't think the losses of Roscoe Parrish and Eric Wood have turned him into this type of QB. I just think he's lost.

Doesn't even look normal here, does it?

---CJ Spiller had a very impressive day. He had a career high 91-yards rushing and chipped in with 10 catches for 73 yards. He also had his first two offensive touchdown day of his career. However, for reasons that I don't understand, Chan Gailey kept trying to run a two back system with Tashard Choice. Spiller had only 12 carries on the day, which is a complete joke. Don't you wanna see what your former 1st round pick has to offer? I don't think Choice, who has been cut twice this season, is going to be a part of this roster next year. The Bills had a good thing going today with Spiller, and yet, they kept going away from him. On the first touchdown drive, Spiller gained all 42 yards. Just try and shorten the game at this point. Anyway, after the game, Gailey said he doesn't think Spiller can carry the ball 25 times a game. GREAT! That's exactly what you want out of your 1st round pick. Just carry the ball 12 times a game. Ridiculous.

---Reggie Bush gained over 200 yards rushing on the Bills. Yes, Reggie fricken Bush! Our defense may have made some plays today with forcing turnovers, but I'm not going to anoint them with any sort of accolades. They gave up over 400 yards to Matt Moore and Reggie Bush. They gave up 65 points to Miami this year. I don't even think Dan Marino did that to the Bills. By comparison, the Bills miss the days of Dick Jauron's cover 2 defense. This is why I'm not in the line for killing off Fitz just yet, because this defense is way worse than the offense. Fix them first and if Fitz stinks next year, draft someone in 2013.

Reggie Bush can carry the ball 25 times, but coach says I can't? Does T. Choice have some sort of illicit photos on Chan?

---The Bills have given up 27 points or more in ten games this season. Last year, it was only nine games they went over that mark. Remember how we all thought this defense would be much better this season? Unbelievable. BTW, and I don't care about picking on celebrations all that much like old 50-year-olds do, but someone tell Drayton Florence to shut up when you make a defensive play after giving up 30 points.

---The secondary missed a lot of tackles today. Oh, and we still suck against the tight end. I think that is going on year five of that.

---Keep looking at those Spiller stats, Fred. You know this franchise wants Spiller to succeed. Just saying...

---Heard a lot about this stiring speech that Thurman Thomas gave to the troops before the game. If it was anything like this speech, no wonder they stunk today.

---Stevie Johnson is playing hurt, but he is still giving it all he's got. He would have had over 100 yards if Fitz didn't overthrow him by 5 yards. I still think the Bills need to re-sign him and don't let any of the Bills shills (media people who kiss the team's ass) tell you otherwise. I already see the tweets and articles written by some who are trying to make him sound average and a diva. He's not. Keep the dude.

---Alright, some nice things to say about this team, you know, just in case you wanna have a positive water cooler moment at the office. I thought Dwan Edwards and Marcell Dareus played a nice sound game. Yes, the defense gave up 400 yards, but Dareus chipped in with a sack and Edwards was in on some plays in the backfield. Dareus has really improved his play over the last few weeks. He seems to be the only player who can get pressure on the QB and he's playing on a front four that probably can't even start on 75% of the rosters in the NFL. Can you imagine how he'll play if the Bills ever decide to find a OLB who isn't a converted defensive end/tackle? Aaron Williams had a nice game. Yes, he gave up some deep balls, but that was mostly due to Moore making some really incredible throws. He had a couple pass break-ups and had a forced fumble. Justin Rogers is much better at returning kicks than Brad Smith. I thought the WRs had a decent game. At this point, I keep calling #82 Josh Reed and #80 Jerry Butler or Flip Johnson.

---Probably the most annoying blurb I will write in this post: The Bills are a really dumb football team. To steal a line from Scizz from Dear God, Why Us?, there were a few plays that you could play the Benny Hill music to this afternoon. On one play, the Bills had their secret weapon, Tashard Choice, lined up in the wildcat on a 3rd and 1. I mean, why not have Brad Smith in that situation, right? What does Choice do? He fumbles the snap and the Bills lose yards. Oh, that wouldn't be the end of Benny Hill's music. Drayton Florence did a nice job of stripping Brandon Marshall of the football and recovered it. Guess what Bryan Scott did? He tried, successfully, stripping the ball from Florence. Yes, Florence had the ball and then Scott took it away from him, only to then fumble it and recover it. I don't know anymore. Just comical. I think 2-3 plays from this game will make ESPN's Not Top 10.

-By my count, I think Erik Pears had something like 3 holding penalties today. It was to the point where the Bills kept facing 2nd and 25 for like three straight drives. What the hell is with Buffalo athletes sucking after they get extensions? Fitzpatrick, Pears, Stafford, Myers, and Kyle Williams goes to IR. Are those pens cursed or what?

---Remember when I wrote this nice story about coming back home to Buffalo and watching the Bills/Broncos games with friends? Well, forget that and my friends! I'd rather sit on my couch.

Sorry, friends. But that ain't going to be me next week. We blow!?

Final word: Yes, I'm very defeated as a Bills fan and it has come to the point where I am hoping we lose out. Yes, I hope the Bills put in Brian Brohm or Tyler Thigpen for the season finale. I didn't feel that way at all last year. I actually HATED when the guys at WGR begged for the team to lose out to draft Andrew Luck. I wanted the Bills to get better and their strong games against the Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs and Bears made me feel good about the future to the point that I didn't care where we drafted.

Now, I'm defeated. The hot start to this season has killed me.

More importantly, I don't have any hope they can beat Denver or New England. Even last year, I thought the Bills could play well against the upper teams in the NFL. At least they could keep it close. Now? Forget it. Get me a top 8 pick and sign Reggie Wayne. That's all I want for Christmas at this point.
