MVN:
Our MVN colleagues at DC Pro Sports Report asked the Washington Redskin media and blogging community to predict the teams season. The result from fifteen writers is in and it's Jim Zorn medium. The consensus is that Washington will finish around 9-7.No one projected a record worse than 7-9, while three writers looked for a 10-6 finish. The group split on whether Washington would make the playoffs. Eight said the team would win a coveted wild card spot. None projected a division title and even those who expect a post-season appearance don't expect much more than a one-and-done performance.DCPSR asked the writers to weigh in on whether Jim Zorn and Jason Campbell will be with the team in 2010. Zorn drew more support, with nine writers expecting him to remain. Only six writers expected Campbell to on the team next year.Matt Terl, official blogger of the Washington Redskins, said yes to both questions, as did Rich Tandler, the dean of Redskin bloggers. ThatGuyBen of The Curly R believes that Zorn and Campbell are joined at the hip. They either stay or go in tandem. He believes they stay.My doubts about Campbell is about the ownership. Daniel Snyder has already made up his mind about Campbell. Jason could improve his performance by 33 percent and it won't be good enough for Snyder to keep him.I predict that Malcolm Kelly will snag about 40 receptions for four touchdowns and about 500 yards. That's less than the 6-7-8 standard expected of No. 2 wide receivers: 60 receptions, seven touchdowns, 800 yards. If Kelly performs at that level, Jason Campbell could have a monster year. Go take a look at the story Redskins writers predict the 2009 season. We'll be here when you get back.Become a fan of Hog Heaven on Facebook. Click here.Follow me on Twitter @SkinsHogHeaven.
