Found August 20, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The Washington Redskins suffered several injuries during last night’s preseason contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers, as backup Kirk Cousins went down with a foot injury. Beyond the backup’s foot ailment, the Redskins also lost defensive tackle Barry Cofield to what was reported to be a fractured right hand, according to Chris Russell of ESPN Radio 980. @RickDocWalker reports that Barry Cofield has a "fractured left hand" Holy Preseason #Redskins — Chris Russell (@Russellmania980) August 20, 2013 As a matter of clarification, Doc updated his report & said right hand after the commercial break ...Just a mix up of hands. #Redskins — Chris Russell (@Russellmania980) August 20, 2013 For his part, Cofield said that he didn’t consider the injury to be serious. While a broken hand can sound significant, defensive players have been known to suit up using a club of sorts on their arms to protect from further damage. Entering the preseason, Cofield had started all 32 regular-season games for the Redskins since joining the team in 2011. If the fracture is enough to keep him out of the lineup for an extended period, the Redskins would look to Chris Neild and Ron Brace, who site behind Cofield on the team’s depth chart. PFZ Monday Column: Is Robert Griffin III smart enough to protect himself this season?

With the 2013 NFL regular season only a few weeks away I don’t believe there’s a question that Robert Griffin III will be ready to go for the Redskins Monday night opener against the Eagles.  The biggest concern is if he can actually stay healthy for an entire 16-game regular season. I honestly have my doubts.  While Griffin is a better quarterback than Michael Vick,  their...

A person familiar with the situation says Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins has no ligament damage in his right foot and should be ready for the regular season opener. Cousins had an MRI on Tuesday. He sprained his foot when he was tackled at the end of a run in the second quarter of Monday night's preseason win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The person spoke on condition...

You Have to Love it When a Big Man--Like Washington Redskins LB Ryan Kerrigan--Scores

Maybe it is the big man in me--or just me--but I love it when a big guy scores. They aren't expected to. Ore often than not they are the battering ram; the workhorses of the team. So when they get the chance to score--well, it's a thing of beauty. Like when Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan ran an interception in for a touchdown against Pittsburgh Monday night. ...

The Washington Redskins better hope Robert Griffin III is all ready to go for Week 1 of the regular season, because their backup plan might be in doubt — at least for now. Ten former NFL players, including five Hall of Famers, are asking the league and its production arm to pay up. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly vs. the Steelers

The Redskins got their second preseason win in as many games Monday night when they defeated the Steelers 24-13. While there were plenty of highlights during the game, there was also plenty of mistakes and lowlights. Many sites do a good, bad, and the ugly, and this is my version:   THE GOOD -Ryan Kerrigan: Ryan Kerrigan dominated in his time on the field and this was without Rak...

Both teams made their fair share of mistakes in this game, but the Redskins capitalized on the Steelers’ mistakes, while the Steelers did not make the most of their opportunities.
