In his 10th NFL game, Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III set the franchise record for completions by a rookie. The No. 2 overall pick of the draft, Griffin connected with fullback Darrel Young for a six-yard touchdown pass – his 173rd completion of the season. That completion surpassed Norm Snead’s record of 172 completions as a rookie set in 1961. Griffin finished the day with a 14-for-15, 200-yard, four-touchdown performance. So the rookie completion record now stands at 186. Griffin sported a perfect passer rating of 158.3. “I didn’t second-guess what my instincts were telling me as far as when to throw and when not to throw, or when to run and when not to run,” said Griffin, who also rushed for 84 yards on 12 carries. “You thank God to be able to have those moments and feel things the right way and it all works out for you.” Source: Washington Post Attached Thumbnails
