The Washington Redskins waited until St. Patrick's evening when America is fixated on the NCAA Tournament to announce the re-signing of quarterback Rex Grossman III.
Yes, Rex the Third is his full name. Rex Grossman, his grandfather I suspect, played for the Baltimore Colts and Detroit Lions as a kicker and middle linebacker from 1948 to 1950.
Thus, the Redskins will have two RG3s on the roster after the 2012 NFL Draft in April. We will have the real RG3 and the other RG3. You decide which is which.
The original Rex Grossman attempted one career pass. It was intercepted. [Biting my tongue now.]
The move is not unexpected, especially since Dallas snapped up Kyle Orton. Word was that the Redskins might pick up Orton as a starter if Washington failed to get Peyton Manning or Robert Griffin III.
Here at Hog Heaven, we've already made our thoughts known. If you draft RG3, you start RG3.
You all know exactly which one we mean.Â

Redskins bring back Rex Grossman
According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the Redskins have re-signed free agent quarterback Rex Grossman.
As much as Redskins fans don’t want to have to look at Grossman anymore, it’s a smart move because he already knows the offense and it will allow the coaches to focus on teaching Robert Griffin III the system once he’s drafted and comes in.
Also as bad as Grossman...
