Redskins SS DeJon Gomes On The Field For Practice, OT Tyler Polumbus Not Present

Safety DeJon Gomes was on the field as the Redskins began practice Wednesday but right tackle Tyler Polumbus wasn’t seen during the portion of the session open to reporters. Gomes suffered a second-degree MCL sprain during Sunday’s game against Philadelphia and head coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Gomes would be evaluated on a day-by-day basis. It wasn’t clear how heavy a workload Gomes was able to handle because only the first 20 minutes of the session are open to the media. Polumbus, meanwhile, missed Sunday’s game a week after suffering a concussion that knocked him out of most of Washington’s game at Cleveland the previous week. He practiced in a limited capacity at times last week, but was ruled out of the game against Philadelphia after waking up with lingering symptoms. Source: Washington Post
