The Last Angry Fan:
I’m not keen on the lettering, but the gorilla portion of the tattoo is fantastic.
Redskins OT Trent Williams is a big, big man, and whether you know it or not, he’s been given the nickname”Silverback” (by himself actually) in deference to his size. He so thoroughly enjoys his animalistic moniker that he went and had this tattoo of a Silverback gorilla inked on his back.
WIlliams — whose self-annointed nickname is “The Silverback” due to his aforementioned massive size — got the tat a few months back of … what else … a silverback gorilla.
The ink cost Williams around $3,000 (plus a “nice tip”) … courtesy of Sergio Garcia at Ultimate Designz in Miami. We’re told Williams had to sit through two separate seven-hour sessions … which he took like a champ.
Whatever floats your boat, amirite? But in my opinion, if you’re going to get a gorilla tattooed on your back, you’ve got to go with Koko, the ape who could do sign language. That chimp’s alright.

You may recall Redskins left tackle/noted marijuana enthusiast Trent Williams telling the D.C. Sports Bog that he got a a gorilla tattoo on his back. Well, he certainly did (via TMZ):
That’s really something. TMZ says it cost $3,000, which sounds like the going rate for the world’s biggest silverback gorilla tattoo. And I love how the big fella isn’t scary or intimidating...
I have never understood tattoos, and sometimes I am glad for that. Case in point, take Washington Redskins’ tackle Trent Williams’ latest ink job.
According to TMZ:
Washington Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams is 6’5″ and weighs 318 pounds, so just imagine how much ink was used to slap a gigantic tattoo on his back.
WIlliams — whose self-annointed nickname...
Tattoos and athletes go hand in hand. Multiple tatts are like an unofficial part of jocks uniforms – unless you’re Cam Newton playing for the Panthers but I digress. Redskins OT Trent Williams nicknamed himself “Silverback” yeah, as in the gorilla and to solidify it, Williams went out a had $3,000 worth of ink added [...]
With the 2012 season fast-approaching, I figured it was LONG overdue (sorry about that) for a “State of the Redskins” article of sorts.
As it stands at the moment, the Washington Redskins roster reflects a team that is both looking towards the future and remembering what has and has not worked in the past. It elicits a feeling of tremendous confidence and optimism to know that...
Sparked by a question asked on Twitter, @LL_HTTR has convinced me that Aldrick Robinson will be the surprise of the season. Robinson was called up from the practice squad by the Washington Redskins in the latter part of the 2011 season, after another team offered him a roster spot. Even though didn't get a chance to see the field last year, he does have the benefit of being...
The dawn of a new NFL season is upon us and there is no coach who is looking more to get the season started than the Washington Redskins head coach, Mike Shanahan. Shanahan is entering his third season as the head man in the nation’s capital and it will no doubt be a very important one [...]
Training camp starts Thursday for the Washington Redskins and I expect to see many of you out there. It will be the first time we've seen the full team since their season finale, on the first of January. As a training camp preview, we'll go over some of the players and battles you'll want to watch for.
Robert Griffin III – Just watching how they plan to use...
I’m a longtime fan of the Football Outsiders gang and am just ripping through their 2012 Almanac, so it’s with great joy that I present to you their latest finding:
With the official unveiling of the 1991 DVOA [Defense-adjusted Value Over Average] ratings, the Redskins pass the 2007 Patriots as the highest-rated team in DVOA history.
Washington may have been the most well-rounded...
All eyes are on Robert Griffin III this upcoming season. With high expectations coming off a breakout season at Baylor and earning college football's top honor by winning the Heisman Trophy, RG3 has his work cut out for him.
Expect Griffin to get the nod as the starting quarterback entering the 2012 season. Rex Grossman will most likely take the role as the backup...
Eagles defensive line coach Jim Washburn recently commented on his personal knowledge of his former pupil Albert Haynesworth’s current situation.

If we learned anything from this Adidas commercial starring Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin the 3rd, it's this singular fact.
Once RG3 gets into your head, he will never leave and might cause you to believe that he is everywhere:
When the Patriots brought in veteran defensive end Andre Carter last August, they didn’t know what to expect from a guy who was cut by the Washington Redskins and had recorded three seasons with at least 10 or more. All he did in 2011 was become a force for the 31st ranked defense recording 52 [...]
