Darrelle Revis is the most important player the Jets have on defense, and he is arguably the most important player they have on their entire roster. Now that he has been lost for the season with a torn ACL, New York will have to figure out ways to win games without him. It was as unfortunate an injury as Rex Ryan could have been handed, but Reggie Bush has classified it as karma.

“It’s like the old saying, what goes around comes around,” Bush told the Paul and Young Ron Show Tuesday according to the Palm Beach Post. “They talked about all week about putting hot sauce and this and that, and they ended up losing their best player for the rest of the season. So, it’s sad that it happened because of that, but I’m going to be back.”

Bush is referring to the Jets saying they had to “put some hot sauce” on Reggie Bush heading into last Sunday’s game because he had been playing at such a high level. What they meant was they had to hit him hard, and after Bush injured his knee Calvin Pace made some comments that could have been interpreted as him saying New York was trying to injure Reggie.

If you believe in karma and you think the Jets were trying to hurt Bush, feel free to run with that theory. As we know, injuries happen in the NFL. Every year teams fall victim to losing their best players for the season, and the Jets simply have to find a way to deal with it.
