Birmingham have signed free agent Tom Adeyemi on a two-year contract.
The midfielder, who left Norwich at the end of last season, is familiar to Lee Clark from the City manager's time as a coach at Carrow Road.
Clark told Birmingham's official website: "I worked with him during my time at Norwich when he was a youngster at the club.
"I've followed his progress since, He's done exceptionally well on loan at a few different clubs and I'm delighted to bring him here.
"Tom is a terrific young lad who is a powerful and athletic midfield player who can get forward and score goals."
Adeyemi, who spent last season on loan at League One Brentford, will officially become a Birmingham player on July 1.
The Saints are hoping to pip a number of their Premier League rivals to the 21-year-old's signature, with interest in his services having mounted steadily.
They have, however, seen the highly-rated midfielder snub their first contract proposal.
Wanyama has admitted that he turned down the initial proposal from St Mary's and revealed that he is prepared to listen to offers from other sides now that Celtic have opened the exit door.
"While the bid was okay for Celtic, the terms were not right for myself and my agent," he said in the Southern Daily Echo.
"I am open to what offers are made, but I am relaxed and it's important that Celtic are happy too."
Cardiff City are reportedly ready to jump to the front of the transfer queue as they step up their search for new recruits, while Stoke City and Liverpool continue to watch events unfold.

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis comes from a very solid pedigree playing in the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive system.
Having the opportunity to play for legendary defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau is a post graduate education few NFL players get the luxury of having.

New Orleans receiver Marques Colston reached a NFL milestone in 2013, he turned 30 June 5th.

NFL and New Orleans Saints fans got quite a scare when an online news report said quarterback Drew Brees was in a car accident, broke both his legs and was paralyzed.
He took to Twitter to squash the garbage story on Friday. “I am fine, Not sure where the car accident story came from. It is not true. I appreciate everyone’s concern but I am ALL GOOD!” he posted.
The NFL Top 100 Players of 2013 presented by NFL.com, a list compiled by votes from current NFL players, is near completion. Though the list is just a matter of opinion, there has been an absolute egregious omission from the list—New Orleans Saints’ tight end Jimmy Graham. Graham, the catalyst of a high powered passing attack, was inexplicably left off this list.

Amidst a season that was largely over before it started, Mark Ingram caught a lot of heat last season for playing over Chris Ivory. Most Saints fans felt Ingram's draft status, not his performance, is what kept him on the field over the undrafted but budding star. Now that Ivory has been traded to the Jets, Ingram won't have to worry about looking over his shoulder this season...

Always a good time Juan…
30 may be the new 20 for us regular folk, but for NFL RBs it’s the age when sh*t starts to break down. Good thing for Sproles is that he doesn’t get a lot of wear and tear on his body. He is primed for another huge PPR season.
Happy 30th To Darren Sproles
Pierre Thomas Says The Saints’ RBs Will Have Defined Roles
