When the NFL released the list of 32 former NFL players who will be announcing the draft selections during the 2011 NFL draft, the one that stuck out was Troy Vincent.
And it raised the question, why is Vincent attending and representing the Philadelphia Eagles?
Yes Vincent earned a name for himself while with the Eagles as one of the top cover men during his time.
What makes this decision puzzling is the fact that Vincent served as the President for the NFLPA from 2004 through 2008.
Maybe it is because he has decided to do this as a response to the investigation that was being conducted by the NFLPA.
Either way you have to find it strange that while the NFL and the NFLPA is in a heated battle and trying to find their way out of this lockout, that Vincent would show up at the 2011 NFL draft in support of Goodell.
You have to be wondering what the rest of the active and former NFL players are thinking by Vincent making this awkward decision.
