Petrus was drafted by New York in the fifth round in 2010 out of Arkansas. Petrus played 14 total snaps for the Giants this season as a reserve right guard before getting released on Nov. 3. Petrus started three games at left guard last season when David Baas‘ injury forced a shift in the offensive line. He was a member of the 2011 Giants Super Bowl champions. Starting left guard Logan Mankins was injured in Sunday’s game against the Bills. He reportedly left Gillette Stadium in a walking boot.
