Found May 13, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Adam Caplan reports that the Arizona Cardinals are releasing QB Brian Hoyer. The Cardinals claimed Hoyer, 27, off of waivers from the Steelers late last season and appeared in three games for them. Arizona placed a second-round tender worth $2.023 million on Hoyer, which he’s since signed. The Cardinals also added Carson Palmer via a trade and Drew Stanton in the free agent market, so it’s not as though he’s needed at this point in time. Arizona was shopping around the league in recent months, but his 2013 salary was most likely an inhibiting factor. It seems likely that Hoyer will go unclaimed, but he could find interest as an unrestricted free agent in the coming weeks, as he’s probably the best available quarterback at this point in the offseason. Arizona Cardinals Camp Wars: Running Back

The most exciting positional battle on the Arizona Cardinals in 2013 has to be the running back position. Mediocre play and injuries have plagued this position for years. In fact, in the past five seasons, there has only been one, thousand yard runner on the Cardinals. But the additions of Rashard Mendenhall through free agency and Stepfan Taylor and Andre Ellington in the 2013 NFL...

TEMPE, Ariz. Daryl Washington faced the media Tuesday for the first time since his arrest on May 3 on two counts of aggravated assault. Washington said all the right things -- when he could say anything at all. All I can do is come out here and work as hard as I can and let everything else play out, said Washington, who is also suspended for the first four games of the season for...

Cards release QB Hoyer, sign draft pick Minter

In a move that wasn't unexpected following the offseason acquisitions of Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton, the Cardinals on Monday released quarterback Brian Hoyer. Hoyer had become superfluous with the additions of Palmer, who has already been named the team's starter, and veteran backup Drew Stanton, who played under new coach Bruce Arians in Indianapolis last season. The...

According to, linebacker Daryl Washington was running with the second-team defense during OTA’s. Washington worked into practice with the second-team defense Tuesday, replaced on the first unit by recently-acquired Karlos Dansby, the likely choice to fill Washington’s role while he’s suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league’s...

What Are The Cardinals Doing At QB?

2012 Cardinals Combined QB Statistics: Passing Yards: 3,383  Touchdowns: 11 Interceptions:11 Completion Percentage: 55.4 The Arizona Cardinals to this day have been in utter disarray since the departure of former Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner and in my opinion things could continue to get worse, even after the recent off season acquisition of Carson Palmer. Last year Cardinals...
