Ian Rapoport of NFL.com is hearing that the Kansas City Chiefs are the team with the most interest in trading for 49ers QB Alex Smith. Rapoport adds that Chiefs really like LT Luke Joeckel as well. It’s probably not all that surprising to hear that the Chiefs are considering these players given that a number of people have already connected the dots in regards to these players possibly ending up in Kansas City. This coincides with Jason Cole’s report from a few days ago that the Chiefs and Cardinals appear to be the most interested teams in Smith. A separate report from last night indicated that the Chiefs discussed a potential trade for Eagles QB Nick Foles, but added that a deal isn’t close. Even if the Chiefs were to acquire Smith, it’s expected that they’ll draft a developmental quarterback at some point. Joeckel is considered to be one of the safest picks in their year’s draft class and the concerns regarding Branden Albert‘s back could force them to target a cheaper replacement versus committing big money to a free agent.     The post Report: Chiefs Have Interest In Both QB Alex Smith & OT Luke Joeckel appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
