Ian Rapoport reports that the Colts are still in “heavy negotiations” with free agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
Bradshaw, 27, visited with the Colts last Thursday and recent reports suggested that the two sides had reached a stalemate in negotiations.
With Bradshaw coming off of multiple foot surgeries and no alternative options available to him, it has become quite clear that Indianapolis holds all of the leverage. The Steelers showed interest a few months ago, but that was before they addressed the running back position during the recent draft.
As of now, the Colts’ stable of running backs includes Vick Ballard, Donald Brown and Delone Carter. Adding some addition depth before the team’s mandatory minicamp, which starts on Tuesday, seems like a smart move.
We have Bradshaw listed as the No. 5 best available player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
