It is about the most ideal situation for the Philadelphia Eagles that would make absolutely zero sense if the report by Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune would not occur. Current St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo is most certainly days away from being released of his duties after sustaining yet another disappointing season and is currently at 2-13 for this 2011 season. Juan Castillo on the other hand is also on the cusp of being fired, or demoted, despite his defense playing excellent football these past three weeks. Spagnuolo has deeply entrenched roots within the Eagles organization serving as the teams linebackers and defensive backs coach for eight seasons (1999-06). During that time he spent a great deal of time with the late (and great) Jim Johnson learning his defensive philosophy. • Says who? that Juan is on the cusp of being fired. Jeffery Laurie would be stupid to bring a New D.C. back to back seasons with the players having to learn another New System and coaches. Juan's performance the last few weeks has earned him the opportunity to continue the evolution of this Defense with a full off-seasons and a few difference makers from the draft. Need to stop reading some of those ANTI-Eagle Philly Newspaper trash clippings.
  • Why,have a new defense coord---he should of hire a defensive minded coach to start with,I love spags---the only assistant, that learn under jim johnson DEFENSE,trinieagle, the whole eagles organization is retarded,I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISE AT ALL COUNT IT!!!this organization, does some backwards stuff, juan castillo,is coming into his own now,as a defensive guy, keep everybody together, and compete next year!!!
