Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Warren Sapp has been in the news a lot lately. First, Sapp opined on the NFL Network that former New Orleans Saints TE Jeremy Shockey was the “snitch” in the Saints Bounty-gate scandal. Shockey was outraged at Sapp’s suggestion, calling for him to be fired from the network and threatening to sue the commentator. Now, TMZ is reporting that Warren Sapp has filed bankruptcy. Filing under Chapter 7, Sapp will have to liqidate his $6.45 million dollars of assets. The report suggests that Sapp owes nearly $1 million in taxes and hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support to four different women. The TMZ reports that Sapp claims an annual income of $540,000 dollars from his current employment at the NFL Network, but his contract with the network expires in August of 2012.
