he was quoted in saying that he has 2 more years left in him.. the patriots don't really need veteran players they already have kevin faulk who will be turning 35 this year, also the patriots already have BenJarvus Green-Ellis who had a breakout year last year and finished the 2010 season with 1,008 rushing yards without a single fumble, joining Ray Rice as the only backs in the NFL with 175 attempts and no fumbles in 2010. I smell a major contract in the mix. Also, the patriots are rumored to have their eyes set on Mark Ingram. I can't see the Patriots and Fred Taylor reaching any agreement. I would like the see the Bucs take a chance with him, with young head coach Raheem Morris at the helm and Rookie running back Blount they could use the experience at the position, possibly just in a teaching role. What other teams should have their eyes on Fred Taylor?
Regardless of what happens with the 2011 NFL season, it doesn't look like Fred Taylor will be a member of the New England Patriots. The soon-to-be former Patriots running back will be a free agent whenever there is another NFL season and, according to ESPN.com, Taylor will not be returning to New England.
