The Ravens suffered a scare on the way to winning Super Bowl XLVII when Haloti Ngata went down with a knee injury. The five-time All-Pro defensive lineman did not return. Ngata is feeling better now, though, according to Mike Garafolo of the USA Today. Ngata was seen jogging through the Ravens’ hotel lobby on Monday, according to Lindsay Jones of the USA Today. Ngata didn’t know the severity of his knee injury after the Super Bowl. “Doctors don’t really know if any ligaments are torn or anything,” Ngata told Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. “We’ll definitely see when we get back to Baltimore.” Ngata will undergo an MRI on Monday, according to Pro Football Talk. As Boston fans saw recently with Rajon Rondo, sometimes the severity of a knee injury can’t be determined until the MRI results come through. Rondo played two overtime periods on a torn ACL. If ligaments are torn in Ngata’s knee, he would likely miss part of training camp at least. Unless, of course, he can get his hands on some deer antler spray.
