(Credit: www.media.sportspressnw.com) Conflicting reports are surfacing about Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor. In March, ESPN’s John Clayton reported that Chancellor was set to have minor hip surgery, which Chancellor denied: Per PFT: Chancellor contradicted the report on Twitter — writing “Huh? No surgery here. Ready to win.” — but General Manager John Schneider still faced questions about it last week. Schneider refused to comment on the situation with the NFL draft two days away, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Network then reported that Chancellor DID have surgery, and there are concerns he may not be ready for the preseason. Chancellor is a big part of Seattle’s dominating defense, so this situation will be one to look at as the seasons draws closer. Jeron Johnson would replace Chancellor in the lineup if he is actually forced to miss any time.
