Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Panthers coaching situation is “pretty uneasy” at this point in time. Head coach Ron Rivera is set to meet with owner Jerry Richardson this weekend to discuss his future with the team. Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.com writes that Richardson is “clearly agonizing” over this decision and clearly likes Rivera. La Canfora adds that he’s been told that Rivera and the coaching staff with “know their fate” by Monday. If Carolina does in fact replace Rivera and his staff, La Canfora believes Broncos’ OC Mike McCoy will likely be their target. The Panthers are also in the process of finding their next GM. Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross appears to be the favorite, but interim GM Brandon Beane is also in the running.
