Found March 06, 2013 on Pro Football Zone:
According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland Raiders are expected to release troubled linebacker Rolando McClain after March 12th, since that’s when the new league begins. March 12 is the first date of the new fiscal year in the NFL, and all indications are that’s when Raiders fans will finally get the answer to the most-asked question the last four months: “When is Oakland finally going to cut Rolando McClain?” The middle linebacker was suspended by the Raiders for two games last November for conduct detrimental to the team, and then didn’t play in the last three games. (McClain was further punished by having to be the scout-team running back in practice.) McClain, the team’s first-round pick in 2010, wasn’t cut then only due to salary cap reasons, general manager Reggie McKenzie said in January. But now it makes sense, as on March 12, the Raiders can cut him and spread out the $7.26 million dead-money salary-cap hit over two seasons. After multiple run-ins with the law, it’s about time the Raiders move on from McClain.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })();

Draft Zone Spotlight: Ty Powell, LB, Harding University Ty Powell has one of the best motors I have ever watched on the football field.
