Despite the recent acquisition of Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals, the Oakland Raiders want to wait on using their new quarterback and have Kyle Boller start against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday instead. However, there’s a chance the Raiders may try and use another one of their weapons at quarterback–Terrelle Pryor.
According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, Oakland has designed “specific packages” for the former Ohio State star and they could even be used as soon as this weekend. Pryor was officially added to the team’s roster on Monday after serving a five-game suspension to start the 2011 season and with Palmer unready to go considering he was just traded to the team on Tuesday–this seems like the best chance for the Raiders to see what Pryor is capable of.
