Found October 26, 2012 on Steelers Depot:
We are still waiting on the final injury report of the week for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they finish preparations for their Sunday game at Heinz Field against the Washington Redskins, but Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports via Twitter that running back Isaac Redman (ankle) participated today and said that he felt so good that he might play Sunday. Redman was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday is always a key day for deciding who might get a helmet on gameday. That being said, I would still be surprised if Jonathan Dwyer doesn't start the game at running back even Read more [...]

Steelers Injury Report: Mendenhall Ruled Out, Redman Questionable, Pouncey Probable

The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up practice preparations on Friday for the Sunday game at Heinz Field against the Washington Redskins and the final injury report for the Week 8 game is now out. As expected, safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) have been ruled out for the game. Head coach Mike Tomlin had announced on Tuesday during his press conference...

Could Jonathan Dwyer be the Future in Pittsburgh?

When Jonathan Dwyer decided to leave Georgia Tech a year early he was considered a top 30 prospect and was at one point ranked the third best running back in his draft class behind C.J. Spiller and Ryan Matthews. However, after the first four rounds plenty of running backs had been selected, but Dwy ContinueThe post Could Jonathan Dwyer be the Future in Pittsburgh? appeared first on SteelBlitz.

Steelers Injured Player Update Heading Into Weekend

The Pittsburgh Steelers will host the Washington Redskins on Sunday at Heinz Field and now is a good time to like at the list of injured players one by one heading into the game. Troy Polamalu - It is looking like it could be at least a few more weeks on the sidelines for the Steelers safety as he continues to rest his injured calf. I would be surprised if he is back before the...

Heath Miller for President! Why Not?

Pittsburgh Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger mentioned this week that he thinks Steelers’ tight end Heath Miller should be running for president. I couldn’t agree more and here’s why; 1. Miller could easily handle defense issues. Is there another tight end in the league that plows through defenders the way that Heath does? Can you imagine Iran threatening Heath Miller...

The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster move on Saturday as they signed safety Damon Cromartie-Smith from the practice squad and waived lineman John Malecki to make room on the roster. Steelers sign Cromartie-Smith, waive Malecki is a post from: Steelers Depot

Ex-Steeler Okobi held for court in bar fight case

A judge is allowing an assault charge against a former Pittsburgh Steelers lineman to move forward in connection with a bar fight in August. Four of the five simple assault charges against Chukky Okobi were dismissed at a preliminary hearing Thursday. The former backup center had been accused of assaulting a group of people who confronted him while he had a heated discussion with...

Steelers To Debut Throwback Uniforms On Sunday - The Pittsburgh…

Steelers To Debut Throwback Uniforms On Sunday - The Pittsburgh Steelers will break out their new old threads on Sunday when the Washington Redskins come to town. Marking their 80th season in 2012, the Steelers are choosing to revisit an ensemble last worn in 1934 by a team that went 2-10. Steelers president Art Rooney II said, “We have never used those jerseys since the 1934 season...

Steelers' Colon settling into guard role

Willie Colon emerged from Sunday's win in Cincinnati down more than one of his signature dreadlocks. At least he was unofficially awarded a takedown for a post-whistle body slam of Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. It was Colon's kind of game, the perfect coming-out party for the Steelers offensive lineman continuing to settle in to his new position at guard. ''...

The Terrible Podcast – Steelers Redskins Preview & Weekly Picks Episode

Season 3, Episode 34 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I start by looking at who might not be playing Sunday for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Washington Redskins as we await the final Friday injury report. Will Rashard Mendenhall or Isaac Redman be ready to go or will Jonathan Dwyer make his second consecutive start at running back? We talk about that...

Heath Miller an unsung hero in Pittsburgh

When talk around the league about the elite tight ends the names Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Vernon Davis, and Antonio Gates and soon to be Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez always come up. However there is one tight end that never quite makes the list. Heath Miller who has had a successful yet modest NFL career always seems to get the short end of the stick in the list...

Steelers rule Mendenhall out vs. Redskins

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with an Achilles injury. Jonathan Dwyer is expected to start his second consecutive game, even if Isaac Redman is able to return from his ankle injury. Redman is listed as questionable. Dwyer rushed for 122 yards in last week's victory over the Cincinnati...
