Found November 09, 2012 on Pro Football Zone:
Last week it was reported that Sean Payton’s contract with the New Orleans Saints has been voided by the NFL and he’ll be free to sign with any team he likes once the season is over. According to Dan Parr of ProFootballWeekly.com, even though both Payton and the Saints have indicated that they plan on working everything out, both sides haven’t been talking. However, our sources say there are no indications that the team or Payton has made any urgent push to arrive at a solution since it was brought to light in the past week that the contract extension Payton signed in September 2011 had been disapproved by the NFL. The Saints are said to be waiting to receive written confirmation from the NFL that they are allowed to negotiate with Payton. There have been reports, though, that the team has permission to negotiate a contract with Payton even though he is suspended. It is unclear as to why there would be any delay in getting the Saints the written confirmation they apparently are seek...

Sean Payton can hold the Saints hostage

In nullifying Sean Payton's contract, Roger Goodell may have actually been rewarding Payton while simultaneously punishing the New Orleans Saints in a big way. There's been a lot of talk about Payton moving to the Cowboys at the conclusion of his suspension, and while I'm not sure he'll leave New Orleans, the whole situation does give him a great deal of leverage...

Sean Payton to coach Dallas Cowboys? Who cares!

Sean Payton: Heir to the Cowboys Throne? “Sean Payton to coach Dallas Cowboys.” No one would be surprised if that was the leading headline in the coming NFL off-season. Since the NFL voided Payton’s contract with the New Orleans Saints, speculation about Jerry Jones setting his sights on the former Cowboys assistant has run rampant. And why not? We have seen it before. Jerry...

The Saints are trying to hang onto playoff hopes. Are there enough games left in the season? Week 10 preview.

The Saints are winning games right now but are there enough games left to get back into the NFC playoff picture.  The teams that are ahead of them include Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, Seattle and Arizona.  I don't think they have enough time. I'm sitting at 84-49 heading into the weekend.  I need to have a huge run to get over .750 for the season. ...

Saints RB Sproles, OT Strief won't play Sunday

The New Orleans Saints will be without running back Darren Sproles and starting offensive tackle Strief for Sunday's home game against Atlanta. Sproles is sidelined for a second straight week because of a broken hand and Strief has a groin injury. Both were listed as out for Sunday on the Saints' injury report along with defensive end Junior Galette (ankle) and wide receiver...

Darren Sproles Officially Ruled Out

New Orleans running back Darren Sproles (hand) will miss Week 10, according to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times Picayune.Fantasy Spin:Sproles had surgery to repair a broken hand last week and the initial timetable projected 4-to-6 weeks. He's coming along much quicker than that, but this week the Saints will again use their four-man backfield of; Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory...

NFL Star Caught In Chris Brown, Rihanna Drama

By now everyone knows that Chris Brown and his (former) ex-girlfriend Rihanna have re-united their love for each other, but apparently that's not stopping men from trying to "holla" at the music singer.According to a report, NFL star Junior Galette, who plays for the New Orleans Saints, started talking to the music singer via Twitter. From the tweets, it appears that...

JDub's Fantasy Football Week 10 Predictions -- Quarterback

Matt Ryan is one of the best quarterbacks in the league this season. He is going up against the New Orleans Saints defense, who are the worst in the league. They have allowed 450 yards of offense each game this season, which is a NFL record.  It will be a fun game with Matt Ryan and Drew Brees going head-to-head in what is, in my opinion, the game of the week. Look for Matt Ryan...

Jerry on Holmgren's interest in Cowboys

PHILADELPHIA The best explanation for why Jerry Jones would attempt to sidestep last weekend's rumors about Sean Payton as a future Cowboys coach but then this weekend talk fairly openly about rumors about Mike Holmgren as a future Cowboys coach has nothing to do with Payton, with Holmgren, or with sitting Dallas coach Jason Garrett. It has everything to do with Jerry being...
