Seattle Times reports no go for Tebow for Seahawks
From the Seattle Times this week we've learned what most thought was an April Fools joke. The Seahawks are not interested in acquiring "QB" Tim Tebow.
Since trading Flynn to the Raiders the Seahawks have been searching for a backup to Russell Wilson. Former Seahawks practice squad QB and former Toronto Argonauts QB Josh Portis has been re-signed already to a 2-year deal. We've heard rumors also this week about Seneca Wallace and Tyler Thigpen as names they might bring in. The Times also mentioned Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart.
Tebow is reportedly going to make $2 million with the Jets this season. The Times says "while the Seahawks did reportedly inquire about him, they decided not to follow up. " We all know there is some history with Pete Carroll and Leinart, so this story makes sense, although I hope its not true. They reportedly went after him after the 2011 lockout.
I expect with all the draft picks John Schneider has at his disposal for the 2013 NFL draft that we'll see a QB picked at some point as well.

Looking for a backup quarterback for Russell Wilson ever since the Seattle Seahawks traded Matt Flynn to the Oakland Raiders, the organization struck up conversation with the New York Jets on Saturday and threw out a feeler to see what it would take to get Tebow to head out west.
