Look, Tony Romo is a good quarterback. He isn’t great, he’s good. That being said, he is now the highest paid Dallas Cowboy of all-time. And that’s only because Roger Staubach can’t play anymore. Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported the news on Twitter: Cowboys and Tony Romo reached an agreement on blockbuster 6-year extension that makes him highest paid player in team history, per sources. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 29, 2013 Romo has put up some awesome fantasy football stats over the years, ever since becoming the Dallas starter midway through the 2006 season. He was an undrafted free agent signing out of Eastern Illinois by the Cowboys back in 2003, when he caught the eye of then assistant Sean Payton. After a brutal first half by Drew Bledsoe in a game against the Giants in 2006, Romo took over. His debut performance on Monday Night Football was a mix bag, but went on to throw nearly 3000 yards in only 9 games, including 19 touchdowns.
