Although Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has not announced his decision about whether Michael Vick will remain the Eagles' starting quarterback, several reports indicated Vick would remain on the job. The Philadelphia Inquirer and CSNPhilly.com, citing anonymous sources, wrote Monday night that Vick would be the starter for the Eagles' next game, Nov. 5 against the Saints in New Orleans. According to the Inquirer, sources close to Vick and backup quarterback Nick Foles said neither player had been told of a change in his job status. Vick is 10-10 as the Eagles' starter over the past two seasons, and he has committed 13 turnovers (eight interceptions, five fumbles) this season. Reid met with his coaches following Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons to discuss the quarterback situation, according to Howard Eskin, the sideline reporter for the Eagles' radio broadcasts. "I'll go back and look at everything," Reid said after the game when asked whether he'd change quarterbacks. "I'm not going to sit here and make decisions right now. I'm going to go back and look at it and analyze it." Vick responded Sunday, "Whatever decision coach makes, I support it. The thing I know is that I'm giving it everything I got out there when I step on the field. Deep down, as long as I know I'm doing that and I'm giving it everything, then it's all I can ask out of myself. No more, no less." Vick's 78.6 passer rating ranks 25th in the league. He has completed 59 percent of his passes for 1,823 yards, and he has nine touchdowns and eight interceptions. Vick also has 48 carries for 247 yards (5.1-yard average) and one touchdown. The Eagles have lost three games in a row, dropping their record to 3-4. They have scored 120 points on the season, tied for 30th in the league.
