The new age of quarterbacks is leading to an exciting style of play, but it’s also dangerous. RG3 is starting to learn that running recklessly could be more detrimental than good. Quarterbacks have the option to slide, but the young quarterbacks coming out of college spread offenses are programmed for the signal caller to run. RG3 took a hit to his knee from Haloti Ngata on a run out of the pocket, and maybe if he was more inclined to protect himself, he could keep the damage to a limit.
