Washington Redskins’ quarterback, Robert Griffin III has finally said that he feels fully recovered after his reconstructive knee surgery he had in January. Griffin has said that he has felt close but not once did he mention that he felt 100 percent until today in an ESPN980 with Kevin Sheehan where he was quoted saying, ”I would say I’m 100 percent, but you can’t put a number on it… no one ever knows when they are 100 percent or what percentage they’re playing at. The biggest thing is, I’m not below 100 percent.”
Griffin is not the typical player though. Even after tearing multiple ligaments in his knee just a couple months prior, he said ”if I had to run a 40 today at the combine in my underwear, I feel like I could run a 4.3-something.” For some of you that may not know, the fastest 40-yard dash by a QB in the 2013 combine was a 4.59 by Geno Smith. To put it into perspective, RGIII is ranking himself as fast or even faster than the top running backs and wide receivers in the NFL even after a complete knee surgery just 7 months ago.
Now that Griffin has come closer to finishing his rehab and he is beginning to feel fully recovered, it has become a waiting game. The Redskins will figure out sometime this week whether or not their star player will be cleared to play. Dr. James Andrews is making Griffin go through a final examination on Thursday to check his movement. Thursday is also when the Redskins play Tampa Bay in their last preseason game but Griffin isn’t sure whether the tests will happen before, during, or after the game. If Griffin is cleared to play by Dr. Andrews on Thursday, the team will have to decide if he will play in the regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 9th.

I feel good, that is the tone coming out of Robert Griffin III these days. For the first time since injuring his knee, RGIII said he is finally 100% healthy. Imagine the timing of this statement, with only one week left in the preseason. I still don’t think Shanahan is going to let RGIII put one foot on the field in a preseason game. Shanahan and RGIII have been going back and...

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III’s documentary called a “Will to Win” aired on Tuesday night and throughout it, viewers saw RG3 working out, rehabbing and wearing lots of socks.
