Don’t count Richard Sherman out quite yet.

Sherman, Seattle’s DB of seven years and who turns 30 in March, plans on playing until his mid-30s. But he’s not suggesting it has to be with Seattle.

Honestly I’m not sure on their side of things. It doesn’t change anything in my mind. If we have the talks, we do, if we don’t, then it is what it is. I plan on playing five, six more years, whether it’s here or somewhere else. Business is business.”

The interesting wrinkle with Sherman is that he’s been acting as his own agent since January of 2016. That’s because his previous representation, Ben Dogra of CCA, would have his license temporarily revoked by the NFLPA. But Sherman thinks he’s just fine without one.

It was just, I don’t need an agent at this point. My resume kind of is what it is – and if that’s not enough, then I don’t know what’s going to be enough.

Before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury, Sherman would rank as the No. 33 cornerback per Pro Football Focus. But does he have enough left in the tank for 5-6 more seasons? That’s tough, even for someone as good as he is. As it stands, the Seahawks could release him ahead of the upcoming season and not owe him a penny.
