The Other Paper:
Richie Incognito has been suspended indefinitely by the Miami Dolphins, presumably for his alleged role in bullying left tackle Jonathan Martin, who left the team last week and is currently in California seeking counseling. While the NFL investigates the matter, new details of the left guard's antics continue to pile up.
The latest accusation against Incognito, according to NationalFootballPost.com's Jason Cole, is he would regularly hold meetings for the offensive line at a South Florida strip club and would "fine" teammates if they didn't show up.
“Richie wanted to set up Richie's world as a way for everybody to act,” a team source told Cole. “Richie thinks everybody should act that way. He doesn't get that some guys aren't into that behavior. Some guys don't want to constantly explain to their wife or girlfriend why they have to go to a strip club.”And if players didn't go? Incognito would mock them for not being part of the group, Cole wrote.
On Thursday, Cam Cleeland, who was a tight end with the Rams when Incognito was drafted, said this about his former teammate.
"I'm not afraid to say that he was an immature, unrealistic scumbag," Cleeland told the Los Angeles Times. "When it came down to it, he had no personality, he was a locker-room cancer, and he just wanted to fight everybody all the time. It was bizarre beyond belief."
Although Incognito's Miami teammates came to his defense this week and he is expected to file a grievance against the team for losing his $235,294.12 weekly salary, the new details into his behavior don't help his case.
Martin, meanwhile, has hired high-powered attorney David Cornwall, who alleged Thursday night that his client was the victim of verbal abuse in the Dolphins' locker room.
On Thursday, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin told the media, "I think we have a strong group of men in the locker room. I believe we had one before this occurred. And I believe we'll have one after."
Just bring lots of dollar bills.
BEST OF MAXIM
From my perspective the majority of players in the NFL while trying to be politically correct in saying things about Jonathan Martin, seem to be backing Richie Incognito and believe he is being used as a scapegoat.
Brandon Marshall who played with Incognito in Miami is the latest player to speak out.
Marshall said he enjoyed playing w/Incognito in Miami and keeps in contact w/him...

In this new series from TOJ, we will provide an opinion on an off the field issue taking place in the NFL. These opinions are from the individual authors and not Turn On The Jets as a site. The game we all love is played inside the sidelines 100 yards at a time, but the men standing on the sidelines and their actions are just as important. If there are any topics you’d like to...

Pretty soon everyone could be gone from the Dolphins organization!
Apparently the Dolphins coaches didn't like that Jonathan Martin didn't show up for a voluntary workout in the offseason. So, they told Richie Incognito to toughen him up. That sure worked out!
All the maniacal Incognito did was scare the **** out of Martin. To the point that Martin left the...
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Jonathan Martin’s agent reached out to Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland about how his clirent was being treated by Richie Incognito.

Disgraced Miami Dolphin (redundant?) Richie Incognito sat down with the equally neckless Jay Glazer on Fox’s NFL Sunday to discuss what it was like to play football with James Van Der Beek and oh yeah, all those terrible things he did. In regards to his infamous voicemail, Incognito said, “I’m embarrassed by it…But what I want people to know is, the way Jonathan [Martin]...
The Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin Dolphins bullying scandal keeps raging on in the media. And while the lone link the Bay Area has to the controversy is that Martin played his college ball at Stanford, the story has become enough of a national story that the local media is asking prominent Bay Area sports figures for their reactions.
Here now is a collection of those reactions...
As details of the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito story continue to emerge, the NFL may find itself in a curious position come August.

With all the attention the Miami Dolphins are getting due to the alleged bullying of offensive lineman Johnathan Martin by teammate Richie Incognito it was inevitable that other odd stories would emerge.
