You don't have to be a New England Patriots fan to realize tight end Rob Gronkowski had a stellar sophomore year.

More proof comes from ESPN than just "East coast biased" news coverage. The 23-year-old earned two ESPY nominations, "Best Breakthrough Athlete" and "Best NFL Player."

Anthony Davis, Robert Griffin III, Jeremy Lin and Alex Morgan join Gronk in the Breakthrough Athlete category, while No. 87's NFL competition includes Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson, Aaron Rodgers and Terrell Suggs.

Gronkowski amassed 1,327 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in his 2012 record-setting season.

And if the shirtless picture Gronk tweeted of himself a while back isn't enough, just wait until July 13 when ESPN The Magazine releases its fourth annual "Body Issue," where the third-year player will pose nude.

Other athletes in the issue include Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, Toronto Blue Jays right fielder Jose Bautista, New York Rangers forward Brad Richards and WNBA player Candace Parker, per the Boston Herald.
