According to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick told the media that tight end Rob Gronkowski still isn’t ready to play.
BB on Gronkowski’s progress: he did more last week than he did the week before…we’ll take it day to day. he’s moving along, not ready yet
— shalise manza young (@shalisemyoung) December 26, 2012
The Patriots can only hope that they’ll get Gronkowski back in time for the divisional round.  That’s of course if they get past the wild card round, which I believe they will.

Vote: If He’s Cleared, Should Rob Gronkowski Play Sunday Versus the Dolphins?
In sports, it’s a conundrum nearly as old as the ball itself.
When staring down at a sure-thing playoff slot but with more regular season to go, do you rest your players, or keep them on the field? Unfortunately, with the patriots and tight end Rob Gronkowski, it’s a little more complicated than even that.
Gronkowski has missed every game since Week 11 when he fractured his forearm...
Rob Gronkowski Making Progress, But ‘Not Ready Yet’ to Return for Patriots
FOXBORO, Mass. — Rob Gronkowski has now missed the Patriots’ last five games waiting for his surgically repaired right forearm to heal. While his return to practice two weeks ago was an encouraging sign, Gronk didn’t play in Jacksonville and may be absent again this Sunday against the Dolphins.
Bill Belichick discussed Gronk’s health during his news conference on Wednesday...
Tom Brady rips teammates despite victory
Tom Brady wasn't very happy with his team Sunday despite the New England Patriots 23-16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The two-time MVP reportedly ripped his teammates after the game.
"An irate Brady could be heard upbraiding the team in the locker room following the game, with several expletives mixed in for emphasis. Multiple sources who were in the locker room...
Aqib Talib’s Health Just as Important to Patriots as Rob Gronkowski’s With Team Preparing for Playoffs
Christmas has come and gone and we’re heading full steam into the new year with plenty of chips left to fall in the NFL playoff picture.
The Falcons reign supreme atop the NFC standings, but beyond them there isn’t much else settled. As for the AFC, the teams are set but it’s anyone’s guess as to how the top four seeds will end up.
The Patriots are in an interesting position...
New England Patriots: Three New Year's Resolutions For 2013
The New England Patriots won the AFC East division in Week 13. They have gone on to an 11-4 record, and possibly will push it to 12-4 with a win in Foxborough this week against those same Dolphins they beat in Miami for the title. The Patriots also own the highest scoring offense in football, and much of that without All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. In fact, the vast majority of...
Bill Belichick Peeking Ahead Toward Playoffs Possibilities, While Patriots Players Keep Focus on Dolphins
Nothing is certain about the Patriots’ playoff scenarios. There are so many moving parts to keep track of, that it’s difficult for Bill Belichick or anyone down at Gillette Stadium to know who, or even when, they’ll be playing next.
That uncertainly shouldn’t impact the players, though, as their sole responsibility is the visiting Miami Dolphins this weekend. Belichickâ€...
Patriots To Wrap Up 2012 On Sunday
It’s hard to believe, but another NFL regular season winds down this weekend. Another season of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick will be in the books. What a run it has been. Why not try to enjoy it while we still have it?
As for Sunday, it seems pretty simple. If the Texans win, I think the Patriots treat this week as their bye. As many key players as possible will be rested. There...
Brandon Spikes wanted to fuel Santa with cocaine and Jack Daniel’s
New England Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes must create a major headache for Bill Belichick off the field. As we all know, Belichick strives to get his players to stay out of the spotlight and avoid saying dumb things that are going to create headlines and serve as a potential distraction. Spikes’ Twitter account is a threat to Belichick’s policy. On Christmas Eve, the former...
Belichick, Patriots wary of Jones' nose for the ball
Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones may have been denied a Pro Bowl nod this season, but he has emerged as one of the better play-making defenders not just in the AFC, but in the league. And though the third-year defensive back may not be getting the national recognition, his opponents are certainly aware of his abilities."He’s been involved in a lot of big plays lately,"...
Patriots DE Jermaine Cunningham Back From NFL Suspension
Defensive end Jermaine Cunningham is set to come back from a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
The team is hoping that he can quickly re-assimilate himself and pick back up on what was shaping up to be a breakout season, but the coaching staff is cautiously optimistic and admit that it make take some time before Cunningham...

Patriots Look to Improve Playoff Standing
This Sunday is the final week of the NFL regular season and the Patriots (11-4/5-0) host their long-time rival the Miami Dolphins (7-8/2-3) at Gillette Stadium. It is an important game for New England so don’t expect head coach Bill Belichick to be resting or protecting any players by sitting them unless the game is out of control...
