Robert Griffin III's patience has paid off. The Redskins' franchise quarterback tweeted Thursday night that he's received medical clearance to play in next Monday night's regular season opener against the Eagles. https://twitter.com/RGIII/status/373270965662527488 Thus completes RGIII's incredible comeback from reconstructive knee surgery. As a final test, he worked out for Dr. James Andrews prior to the Skins' preseason finale and looked good enough to officially get the green light. At one time, Griffin's outlook seemed bleak, with "major concern" reportedly once looming within the organization. However, in recent weeks it became evident that he'd be ready for Week One, so tonight's news is an utter formality. Now -- just as Redskins Nation begins exhaling -- it'll be up to Griffin to heed President Obama's advice.
