The New England Patriots have not said much in the wake of former tight end Aaron Hernandez being arrested on a first-degree murder and gun charges. However, team owner Robert Kraft finally broke the silence when speaking with select members of the media on Monday, saying the team was "duped" by Hernandez.“No one in our organization was aware of any of these kind of connections. If it's true, I'm just shocked,” Kraft said via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. “Our whole organization has been duped.”Kraft reiterated that the franchise was completely prepared to cut Hernandez from the roster even before he was arrested because of the police investigation.“If any member of the New England Patriots organization is close enough to a murder investigation to actually get arrested -- whether it be for obstruction of justice or the crime itself -- it is too close to an unthinkable act for that person to be part of this organization going forward,” Kraft said.Kraft added, "everything we don't want is happening."Via CBS Sports
