If nothing else San Diego Chargers wide receiver Robert Meachem is certainly honest. Before the 2012 season, Meachem signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Chargers. During the season, Meachem caught just 14 passes for 207 yards, and two touchdowns. 2012 marked the worst of Meachem’s six NFL seasons. After reflecting on his season, Meachem revealed on XTRA Sports 1360 that he’s had to be very hard on himself. Please click here to read this story. San Diego Chargers: What to watch for Thursday

On Thursday, the San Diego Chargers will be playing their first preseason game of the 2013 season against the Seattle Seahawks.  As it is only the preseason, games are not ultra competitive and the end result doesn’t ultimately matter.  That being said, the preseason games are still very important for any football team.  They often determine the winners of depth chart battles...

San Diego Chargers Wide Receiver Robert Meachem Admits He ‘Sucked’ in 2012

Robert Meachem is being brutally honest with himself. Meachem, who signed a four,-year, $26 million contract with the Chargers last offseason, caught just 14 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns in his first season in San Diego. Chargers get extension to avoid blackout

The San Diego Chargers have asked for and received a 24-hour extension to sell about 1,800 tickets to be able to broadcast Thursday’s preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks. It’s ridiculous that the NFL’s blackout policy applies to preseason game. The game is considered sub-par to a common fan compared to a regular season game but both games’ tickets are sold at the...

Chargers place OLB Devan Walker on injured-reserve

The San Diego Chargers have placed undrafted rookie linebacker Devan Walker on injured-reserve with a knee injury, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon. If it’s anything like the other three Chargers’ playerss who’ve had “knee injuries” then that probably means he tore his ACL. The Chargers also lost Melvin Ingram and Jonas Mouton to knee injuries. The team also lost...

Would be “major upset” of Max Starks beat King Dunlap for starting LT

Since the San Diego Chargers signed tackle Max Starks in free agency, it was assumed by many(okay all) that he was signed to take the starting job at the left tackle position away from King Dunlap. According to the U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken, it would be a major upset if that happens. I don’t know if this speaks more about the play of Max Starks or the overall lack of talent...

San Diego Chargers: Danario Alexander tears ACL, out for 2013 season

Danario Alexander’s career finally appeared to be taking off. Dunlap, Starks competing for SD's left tackle job

King Dunlap or Max Starks? One of the veteran newcomers will become the San Diego Chargers' left tackle, charged with protecting Philip Rivers' blind side. Dunlap, signed as a free agent from the Philadelphia Eagles, has gotten the majority of snaps with the first team so far in training camp. Starks hasn't been given the inside track even though he won two Super Bowl...

Making matters worse, San Diego is not popping out of...

Danario Alexander out for season with torn ACL

Danario Alexander flashed signs of brilliance last season and emerged as one of the top mid-season fantasy free agent acquisitions after catching 7 touchdowns in just 10 games with the Chargers.
