Roddy White said on Thursday that he is expecting to play this Sunday when the Falcons host the Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Vaughn McClure. White has missed extended time with hamstring and ankle woes.
Roddy said he’s pretty sure he will be out there Sunday

White has been getting closer to taking on a full workload in practice and plans on doing so before the week is out. The Falcons said Wednesday that White’s status for Sunday was still unknown and that they will take it day-by-day with Roddy for the rest of the week.
While White’s words are certainly encouraging after the outlook sounded pretty hazy earlier in the week, it still could be a case of a player’s wishful thinking. No doubt, he feels better and that’s a major part of it but we will have to await word from the team on his status and see how they list Roddy on the team injury report.
The Seahawks have struggled mightily the past two weeks against lesser opponents, so the Falcons know they have a chance to play spoiler at home on Sunday. White getting back on the field could certainly be a big contributor to that effort.
